Chelsea grew up in the small section of Southington Connecticut better known as Milldale, in the same house that her grandparents had raised her mother , her aunts, and her uncle. The neighborhood was close knit, quiet, and filled with children, which created a safe environment for her to develop friendships and hobbies. she had a love of school that developed early on, particularly for reading and writing which was only encouraged by family and teachers. She attended Emmanuel College in Boston for her bachelors degree in developmental psychology, and since has been working with children in a variety of capacities, including homeless, shelters, daycare centers, summer camps, and programs for children with mental delays.
